For those who keep their mills outside (even covered up), surface rust can be a problem.
If you spray some lubricating oil on the rollers and bare metal parts, it will help stop surface rust that can accumulate over the winter and during the rainy season due to the moisture in the air. Even WD-40 will help, it doesn't last as long, but works good in between mill uses.
