Looking to by our first sawmill. We have large redwoods now, 36' at least and will likely be wanting to mill other things later. We have heavy equipment and trucks but this is a new aspect for us. We are assuming we should buy a good used band saw type. We will want to be making fence boards, 2X4's 4X4's and 4X6's to start with as we will be fencing an acre of land.
I guess we will also need something to rip the wood from the slab cuts?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
